Corrosion performance and mechanical properties of FeCrSiNb amorphous equiatomic HEA thin film

چکیده

A quaternary amorphous equiatomic FeCrSiNb HEA thin film was synthesised and characterised with the view for applications in demanding environments. The produced on silica silicon substrates by ion beam sputter deposition. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) used to analyse morphology, Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) investigate atomic composition. crystal structure of sample investigated using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) Selected Area (SAED). is uniform at level. An electrochemical cell a three-electrode arrangement utilised assess corrosion behavior 0.6 M NaCl H2SO4 solutions room temperature under ambient pressure. In addition, tests were conducted Libyan crude oil simulate an field process. results showed that has excellent resistance, resistance much better than 304 SS NaCl, solutions, oil. high hardness around 15 ± 1.2 GPa, reduced Young's modulus 229 12 GPa.
